Abrasive Vacuum Recovery. The Airvac with Cyclone Separator is an efficient, cost effective and compact air-operated vacuum system that recovers abrasives for recycling.

Using the Airvac as the prime mover, the system can produce above 14" Hg of vacuum when connected to an air supply of 250 cfm at 80 psi. This allows the system to achieve recovery rates of between 5 and 6 tons per hour.

With only two units, a hopper/cyclone and a dust collector, the unit is extremely durable and offers a more flexible solution compared with larger, more expensive machines. The system is capable of recovering solids up to 2" in diameter over distances in excess of 300' (dependent on particle size, material type, volume and air supply pressure).

The unit requires minimal maintenance as the Airvac has only one moving part. The unit is also safe for use in potentially flammable areas as it does not require an electrical power source. The system meets all safety requirements and noise limitations operating at 85 dB at 6'.

Method of Operation

Material is recovered through the gulper suction head and is drawn into the cyclone through the rubber lined hose. The fine dust is then separated from the heavier particles, which fall into the hopper. The hopper is fitted with a dump valve, which is operated using an adjustable timer set to the rate of recovery.

Dust is transported to the filter box along the flexible intermediate hose. The 18 filter socks inside the box collect the dust as the air stream passes through. Clean air is then discharged through the JetPump each time the machine stops by reverse pulsing into the dust compartment situated at the bottom of the filter box.
